She’s better off without me. The world is better off without me. She deserves everything she gets now, she’s a fucking goddess after all. No one should be able to get anything just because they’re better than me, especially not people like her. She’s an angel, I am a demon. She knows better than me anyway, she has so much more experience. Why would she need someone like me when she already has a perfect life that will last forever? Why would she want someone like me around? Who needs me? People don’t deserve me. I think I’d rather die.

And yet, there I stood, still laughing quietly to myself, looking at her leaving from behind me and I wished that she hadn’t left. If she hadn’t, maybe things would have turned out differently. Maybe if she never went then maybe we can be together…
