CHAPTER 19

Megan’s POV.

After Khalid stormed out of the room, frustration etched on his face, I took a deep breath and decided to explore the pack on my own. The tension in the air was palpable, and I needed a moment to clear my head. As I wandered through the dimly lit corridors, my mind raced with thoughts of the spy and also what has been happening to me.

Lost in my contemplation, my eyes caught sight of a figure that looked vaguely familiar.

In a moment of recognition, I suddenly remembered that it was one of my father's trusted men.

He was among the pack members, and I froze in a spot.

My heart skipped a beat, and a mix of surprise and curiosity washed over me.

What was he doing here?

Was he on a secret mission?

Did my father have a hand in this delicate situation that has been going on in my life lately?

Different questions swirled in my mind as I felt the urgent need to confront him, but decided against it quickly.
