Chapter 68

Finn’s

Boone woke me up earlier than usual. I was wincing at the bed when I felt him shake my tired body. Whispering his plan for today. I hardly protest at his request but he’s annoyingly persistent that I end up being dragged inside the school with an exhausted body.

An hour before our classes we arrive at the campus’ parking lot. Zeke’s Toyota Camry and Moe’s Dodge Charger are already on their parking spot but the other two—plus my spot—are all still vacant. I released a sigh. My eyes are still struggling to stay awake and my body is still sore from—oh my god. I don’t want to think about it right now. It’s too much for my brain to handle.

“Are you still in pain? Should I drive you to the hospital?” Boone is already outside of his car. He kneeled down beside me, his left hand was caressing my lower back while the other was wiping the sweats forming on my head with the handkerchief. He’s a little bit panicked. I’m still inside the passenger’s seat when I felt dizzy.

“No need.” I repl
