Chapter 17

Ava refused to say a single word as she closed her eyes. Her throat felt sore and her heart ached.

She forced herself to sleep and thankfully, Harvey left her to sleep without asking any more questions which greatly pleased her.

Ava passed through the night without much trouble and before she knew it, it was morning already!

She opened her eyes only to realize that Harvey was no longer in the room and she breathed in relief. What he did to her last night was still fresh in her mind and she felt uncomfortable seeing him. Her face turned red the moment the memories flashed back into her brain and she hid herself under the duvet.

She wanted to close her eyes and sleep a bit longer but everything got washed down the basin the moment she heard a knock on the door. " Who is that?' She cried with displeasure hidden in the core of her voice.
