CHAPTER 38 - Warm Welcome
Athena's POV
Before having to enter the elevator, I texted Lovi first just to let her know that I had arrived early and safely at the building's premises. I managed to push the elevator up to the 9th floor, where our team's office is located and stepped aside politely while having to wait for more passengers to join the elevator.
The speech controller inside the elevator then officially confirmed that we had reached the destination floor a few seconds later. The door automatically opened on the 9th floor, and I smoothly exited with some other passengers.
When I finally showed up at our office, I was absolutely stunned to discover that the entire floor was pitch-black. I began to look for my phone, expecting to see a text message from Lovi, but there was none. It is indeed disconcerting because I thought I had informed her of my return two days before.
