Chapter sixteen

Rielle stared at the woman, still in shock while Alex had no emotions showing on his face which was usual.

She was about to ask further when the woman looked at her leg and gasped. "I apologize for coming late. If only I had arrived earlier, I would have stopped you from falling down the pit."

"Wait, wait, wait," Rielle stopped her from talking further. "How do you know all these? What is going on?"

"Forgive me for not introducing myself." She went on, "I am Doxie. A sorcerer who happened to find solace in here. I was able to foretell your coming and I am here to answer all the questions you need."

Rielle knitted her brows as everything doesn't seem right. She walked forward until she was few steps away from Doxie. Alex stood behind watching it all.

"You do have a lot of nerve coming out when you know Mercury would be here."

The young lady looked at Alex and smiled. "It's a pleasure standing before the same man who had helped us through the war." she bowed at him.
