The fresh air did me good and I could breathe properly again. I sat down on the top step to the garden and looked straight ahead. It was a beautiful sight, even in the dark. There were a few lanterns set up to light the way. It wasn't completely dark out here.

I wiped the tears from my cheeks, which was useless as more tears made their way down again. I sniffed once, but the disappointment and sadness were too great. My howling wasn't going to end anytime soon.
