Harriet waited patiently after Delbert left. The momentary guise of compliance vanished, and her demeanor transformed. A hint of cunning appeared in her eyes.

If not for being confined by Delbert, she would have sought out Marc.

'How dare he mistreat Molly? What kind of man is he?' She snorted inwardly.

Harriet eyed the handcuffs and shackles on her hands and feet, smiling dangerously.

'Does Delbert really think he can confine me with a few iron chains?' She thought.

He underestimated her.

Unlike in her previous life, she effortlessly removed the handcuffs and shackles.

Her graceful steps led her to the bathroom, where she freshened up and put them back on, as if nothing had happened. She continued to lie in bed, awaiting Delbert's return.
