Chapter Thirty-Eight - Hesitation

Reyna's POV

I woke to the smell of bacon in the air. My stomach growled, demanding that it be fed. For a moment, everything felt completely normal until I opened my eyes and was greeted by the unfamiliar room once again.

This time it looked different as the sun peaked through the window. It's warmth kissing the ebony wood floors. The walls were almost black in colour, matching the curtains. The desk was covered in books and paperwork. And when I looked at the bookshelf, I could see the titles of the books that were both old and new, a couple I had never seen before. Most were books about cities and different countries. But there were a few novels thrown in there too.
