Chapter 38
Jon met with Alex at a bar. Alex still wasn’t done settling the scores with Benjamin. And Benjamin was nowhere near done with him as Alex just killed his son. He had to end Benjamin before he had the chance to retaliate against him. That could endanger Saoirse’s life, and he couldn’t allow that to happen.
These past few days without her were agonizing. He didn’t contact her or visited her as it was too dangerous. Benjamin’s men were somewhere nearby, watching his every move. He was sure of it. If he called or texted Saoirse, they could figure out her location. He was not willing to take that risk.
He wondered if Saoirse was mad at him for the distance he put between them. He smiled at the thought. She was probably complaining to Amelia about how terrible he is. He will make it up to her as soon as he was done dealing with the situation.
