"Do you not have plans to renovate your castle?" Serra asked. They were in the garden just having an early stroll without the sun. It was mostly cloudy in the land of demons.

"Why? Do you also think it's too gloomy?" Zierux asked.

"Yes," she frankly answered, shaking her head up and down. "Don't you got subjects to govern? What will they think if they see your castle like--"

"For half a century, demons have always lived like this. They are free to go wherever they please as long as they do not concern me."

"But you are their king! You can state your command and they will follow."

"The abyss has its own ruler," he spitefully said. "I can make them submit to me but the hassle of ruling is not to my liking. I would be responsible for their protection and that's killing the nature of a demon."

"How would you know that killing and spreading monstrous acts are your nature?" she asked, frowning.

He stopped walking and shifted his gaze to her. His eyes were like blue flames, it feels cool b
