Chapter XVII: Sarah

(Serra's POV)

It has been a week since Zierux started teaching me magic. I learned the basics of it but I had trouble memorizing spells and chanting them correctly. Still, in a week, I had learned so much from summoning essential elements to replicating certain things.

Magic isn't the only thing I learned. The affection for someone else, I recognize myself gradually slipping into the concept. Whenever his hand touches mine, a rush of hot liquid would pump to my cheeks making them red. The way he would smile at me was blinding yet it makes me smile as well. The way he'd tell me to be careful was consistent and although he gets upset when I don't chant the right words, he would tell me it's fine, I can start again.

"Priestess!" I heard someone call so I raise my head and saw Narth coming forth. He looks like he is in a hurry. "The King won't be able to attend your meeting today. He has something urgent to get to."
