“I have some interesting information for you.” A voice said on the  other end of the phone, causing Bernard to raise his brow in surprise. 

“Really?” He asked, frowning. 

Bernard hated surprises. That’s why he always made sure to control everything that happened in his world with an iron fist. He didn’t know if he could handle another surprise. His little song bird had done more than her fair share of screwing up his life. 

“I promise. The information is worth it.” He said, causing Bernard to raise a brow in disbelief.
