5. the break-in

Amy and Daniella had just returned home from their weekly grocery

shopping trip. They were happy that they gas the shops nearby so they did

not have to go further away from their place to go get some decent foods

and whatnot.

As they walked towards their apartment, they noticed that something

was off. The usually quiet hallway seemed to be bustling with activity, and

as they got closer, they realized that the commotion was coming from their

neighbor's apartment.

As they walked closer, they saw that the door to their neighbor's

apartment had been broken open. The lock was shattered, and the door hung

off its hinges. The two women looked at each other, worried about what

they might find inside.

They cautiously stepped into the apartment, calling out their neighbor's

names. There was no answer. The living room was in disarray, with

furniture overturned and drawers pulled out. The TV had been taken off its
