Chapter Thirty nine

he room was as silent as a graveyard. Clara sat down cold and quiet. Jay paced angry. "I went out with my friends and your constant calls embarrassed me in front of my friends. I had to....." Clara explained calmly but Jay yelled to interrupt her. "You had to give them the go ahead to say trash to me right? Did you tell me you were going out with your friends? You were to have dinner with me at 8pm. for hell sake, I made dinner for us" Jay spat out pissed.

Clara tried to talk to Jay, but he wasn't granting her any opportunity to. "Jay, I did nothing wrong. I decided to come over, I can choose to do anything I want. Don't act pissed or try to order me around, you are not my mom" she corrected stating her stand. Jay chuckled and walked out on her. He went to the kitchen to get a glass of water to cool down.
