Vilkas POV.

Serana blinks at what I have just told her. That it was, in fact, six years since she was in the camp.

“Six years? Six years!” she looks at me as she tries to process what I have just told her. I go to reach for her, but she snatches her hand away from my reach.

“Yes, I’m sorry, baby. Six years, that is how long it has been since you were in the camp.” She visibly gulps and closes her eyes and begins to shake her head, breathing in and taking calming breaths.

“Bedelia is telling me to trust you. The past six years I have no memory of. So tell me Vilkas, is it? Why do you think I can’t remember it?” she asks as she looks up at me and I look away.

“I see. It must be because those six years haven’t been something I would want to remember, right? I mean, that can be the logical explanation for it all.” She says and I look back at her and see she is looking away from me. Her emotions are on display, and she looks hurt and confused.
