Chapter 33.

Vilkas POV.

The cool summer breeze flows over my black scales as we get closer to the dark forest. Flying over the forest it is dense and spans for miles. You could get lost here if you were to wander into it. We have been flying for hours and the sun has started to rise.

Looking around, I look down and see the Lycan becoming agitated, and I know we are close. I turn my head and see a shimmer in the distance. Flapping my giant wings again and turning to head towards it. I look down and see a clearing.

“Down there Jaka, land.” I point it out, and he growls in acknowledgment and we descend. Once on the ground, we drop the Lycan and I shift quickly and grab him by the collar.

“Looks like you will be home soon. Move!” I pull him in front of me and push him when I watch the shimmer grow and open. We stop walking when he chuckles.

“You’re too late. They have already gone. You have failed again, Vilkas.” He laughs when I shove him forward and we walk through, like I will believe him.
