A free woman's trip to the old palace

"Father, where are we going?" Omar asks for the fourth time in about just as many minutes as the carriage slowly makes its way through the woods.

"We are going on a trip, my little lizard." Loras gives the same answer with a content smile.

Except for Omar's enthusiasm, the atmosphere is quite tense in the carriage. Tamara ignores Loras entirely, still upset about the whole situation at yesterday's diner and the fact that she was dragged on this trip without being told anything about it. Astrid feels awkward to be next to them when they are mad, so she spends her time playing little games with the prince. While Loras... Well, the king reads through James' letters and writes things down in a small book, acting like there is nothing wrong in the world.

They even stop for a picnic next to a nice lake. Mostly because Omar had started to become increasingly bored in the carried, but also because Astrid mentioned to the king that the place looks breathtaking.
