A free woman thinks about the future

The night passes slowly as Astrid can't get any sleep. The war is over, but another one, closer to her heart had just started. She looks at Loras who is peacefully asleep, holding Omar in his arms. If her staying by his side will harm him, will she have the power to walk away? He declared that she is free to make her own choices, but is that even an option? Where would she even go?

So many questions and the only way to find answers is to choose a path and walk on it until it's too late to change something. How ironic fate is, isn't it?

With her hand, she gently caresses Omar's messy hair. If she will have a child, a son... will she fight against this little one? Maybe as a mother, she will care about her children's future more than anything, but... That is a problem too. If Loras marries her, will that make Omar a bastard in the eyes of God?

Everything feels so complicated, when what she wants feels so simple... peace and to spend a lifetime with the people she loves.
