This is not the way things are supposed to be between them, but as usual, Kaira can't ignore Calix completely. No matter how disappointed and frustrated she is with her husband, she just can't genuinely hate him, even if that's what she wanted to do.

Her earlier actions and words don't match up with the way she is giving him chances now to explain. And she had lost the battle to herself. She is surrendering to the fact that Calix will always have a special place in her heart, no matter how betrayed she is by his actions towards her. 

She is unsure of anything at this moment, but even before Calix can begin his explanation, her heart also begins to feel as though she should trust everything he says. She kept telling herself that she wouldn't believe anything he said and that she agreed to this talk because, like Enzo said, they needed to know his excuses. T
