Calix's silence was disturbed when James tried to say, "This is pretty clearly fucked up, isn't it?" Calix's wife went off with her cousin, and the two of them decided to go for a short walk outside the Lombardi mansion. "You didn't really anticipate that sort of thing, did you?"
All Calix could do was stroke his forehead as the questions from James continued to flood through him. This is unquestionably a disaster that may well happen. And he is furious that it appears that the stars are planning to give him a royally fucked life once more. When will his bad luck come to an end, then? He is slowly running out of patience to deal with each and every trouble that comes his way.
"How do you intend to handle this? Your wife will learn about this sooner or later. I think it may be better for you to inform your wife about this now, isn't it, Cal?"
