Pain, bursting explosive pain, shattered through my mind. My skull felt like it was split down the middle. I reached my hand out to touch the spot I was sure would be broken and was amazed to find the healed skin over the top of it. Oh, right, werewolf healing. I had been hit so hard I forgot I was a werewolf for a minute. Beneath the healed skin was a raised ridge where the bone beneath it had broken.
