WILLOW

The following day arrived, and I found myself occupying the confines of a clinical doctor's office, my heart pulsating with a blend of eager anticipation and trepidation. The obstetrician-gynecologist commenced elucidating the outcomes of the previously conducted examinations. Each utterance that escaped her lips felt akin to an arrow, impaling me with excruciating veracity I had not steeled myself to confront.

She maintained a composed and professional demeanor, her voice resounding with an air of detachment against the tempestuous whirlwind of emotions raging within me. "Willow, I'm regretful to inform you that the test results suggest the presence of a condition that impairs your fertility. You have received a diagnosis of infertility, a circumstance that presents formidable challenges to the conception of a child."
