As I made my way towards the entrance of the Pack House, my footsteps echoed in the empty hallway. My mind was filled with a mix of thoughts and emotions, the weight of secrets and hidden desires bearing down upon me. I longed for a moment of solace, a chance to escape the suffocating atmosphere that seemed to surround me.

Just as I reached for the doorknob, it swung open abruptly, causing me to stumble back in surprise. Standing before me was Patricia, her expression a mirror of my own conflicted emotions. An awkward silence settled between us, heavy with unspoken words and fractured friendship.

"Alondra," Trish finally spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "I... I didn't expect to run into you."

I nodded, unable to find the right words to break the tension that hung in the air. The once-strong bond we shared had been strained, the weight of secrets and hidden truths driving a wedge between us.
