Shane's POV
The man turned to my direction and adjusted his reading glasses. He shook his head and blink for probably five times before finally deciding that I am indeed real.
The bark of the dog from the distance can be heard up here, but apart from that, the room is still and silent.
Jeez, my fingertips felt like they were about to freeze.
How come I did not thought that someone might be here? I was so sure that everything will go according to my plans. I was wrong because I am already caught before I even got started.
"Uh, hello," I said, raising my hand and giving him my most awkward smile.
He remained silent. He remained stunned and unable to move from his seat. He let go of his book involuntarily and shook his head yet again. Seriously, isn't he getting dizzy?
"You are real," that's the first thing he said.
It's not easy n
Erwan led me to his car after the commotion inside his room. He is not talking to me, his eyes are fixed on the road as he drove.“Aren’t you going to ask about what just happened?” I started. I want him to say something, I want him to clear my accusations. He glanced at me for a moment and turned his gaze on the road again.“You don’t trust me, Shane.” He mumbled. It is barely audible, but I managed to catch every word that he said.“I am not making excuses for what I did. I am aware of my faults and actions and if you’ll give me another chance, I promise to trust you in every step of the way.” I don’t know what I am saying but I am not used to his silence, so I am trying to lighten the atmosphere as possible.“Look, Shane. I am not mad at you. I just don’t want you to put yourself in danger.”“But I am in danger.”“Yes, you definitely are
Until now, I am still thinking about the red note that Shane mentioned about. What was it? What was in the red note? Why is she accusing me as the one who sent it to her?“Mr. Fuenter, are you listening to me?” I shrugged my thoughts away when I heard his business-like tone again.“Yes, sir,” I responded.“Seems like you are thinking about something that’s far away. Mind sharing your thoughts?” I shook my head. I know that he is not interested in my thoughts.“No, sir. I am sorry, I am just thinking about who can be behind all of this.”“If you’re just listening attentively, you should have it figured out by now.” He said, annoyance in his tone.“Mr. Fuenter, this matter is very serious for me. It is a matter of life and death and you vowed to protect my daughter’s life.”“Of course, sir.”“Now, pay attention. Here is the
Shane's POVI pulled my laptop out of my bag when I reached the café. I started making a report for one of my subjects after ordering a coffee and a cupcake.I pulled my headset out and get lost in my own world while listening to a song. It’s Saturday and I do not want to get suffocated inside my room all day long so I decided to go out and here I am inside the cafeteria, trying to focus on my report while enjoying the atmosphere and the view of seeing people eating and slightly listening to the chitchatting of the crowd. After an hour, I saw him making his way to my table while pulling the sleeves of his polo to his arms. I smiled when he met my gaze and he waved. He gestured for me to wait while he head to the counter of the café and ordered his drink.“Am I late?” he asked upon finally sitting in the chair across mine.“No, I am just early.”“Too excited to see me?&
Erwan’s POVI don’t know what’s got into me. Maybe it is because of the happiness that I feel while being with her here that made me embrace her the moment I catch her.I felt her hands reaching for mine and held it as she turned to face me.We are alone together in this isolated sea, away from everybody. I tried to distract myself from being lost in her eyes but it didn’t work because I found myself cupping her cheeks. Before we knew it, our faces are just inches away from each other, our lips becoming closer and closer.I can’t stop myself from adoring her. She’s beautiful and sexy. The strands of her hair being blown by the wind, she closed her eyes and I took it as my cue to finally kiss her and wrapped my arms around her.At first, we are both not moving, we just enjoy the moment of being this close with each other. Then my lips started to move, and she respond to it.I pulled her muc
Shane’s POVThe days I spent with Erwan made me forget about the things that have been bothering me. Everything just magically happens when I am with him. As days go by, I just find myself falling harder to him. He has his own ways of making me feel safe.“Shane!” I turned to see a woman waving at me while smiling from ear to ear.“Olivia, you’re late.” I said, approaching her.We agreed to meet here at the mall and she is 10 minutes late.“Sorry about that, baby Shane. There’s too much traffic.” She kissed both of my cheeks and linked her arms to mine.“Oh, by the way, where is Liz? She wants to talk about something important, right?” she asked.“That’s what she said when she asked to meet up here.”We walked to a milk tea shop inside the mall because she told me that she suddenly felt thirsty.“She’s running
Erwan hissed in fury and tried to dial the number again, but to no avail, the receiver didn’t answer it.“He’s someone close, he’s watching you and everyone around you,” he said, standing up. He walks to and fro, his forehead creased while he snaps his fingers there and then. It doesn’t seem like he is talking to me, it is more like he is talking to himself. “I knew it, he has a plan. He is just waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. I need to figure out what he’s planning,” he mumbled, still pacing in the living room.“Erwan,” I said, holding his arm but it doesn’t seem like he heard me because he is still mumbling to himself.“Erwan!” I yelled and gripped both of his arms.He stopped and turned to me. His eyes looks dazed as if he is trying to figure out who I am. He narrowed his eyes and shook his head. He inhaled a deep sigh and released it in a few seconds.
Third Person’s POV“We found him, sir.” A muscular man said as soon as Mr. Mavero Croven arrived on his office.“Where is he?” Mr. Mavero asked and removed his tie.“We brought him to the warehouse.”“Did he spit out anything?”“Our men are torturing him to make him speak up.”Mr. Mavero walked over the door, “I am going to make him tell me everything that he knows until he bleed to death.” He said flatly and the man followed him out.It took them almost an hour before reaching the warehouse and entered. It is hot inside and Mr. Mavero needed to remove his suit which leaves him his plain white shirt, he saw a man tied in a chair in the center of the warehouse. His body is full of bruise and his knees are covered with blood.“Gino Trevilla,” he started and walk over to the man.The guy doesn’t looks old, he actually seem
Shane’s POVErwan invited me over to their house to eat dinner with his family because his mom kept on insisting that she want to meet me personally. He picked me up at the mansion around 6 in the evening, but he’d been quiet the entire drive. Though he didn’t say anything, I knew that he is still worried about the danger of my life. My hands are shaky because of my nervousness about meeting his mom. His brother will also be joining us at dinner so that makes me anxious as well because our first encounter was not really great and I am not too comfortable with him. Erwan didn’t seem to notice my shaking hands because he was obviously lost in his thoughts while he drive.I tried to initiate a conversation and distract him with whatever’s his thinking, but he’s just nodding as a response. We pulled to the garage of their house and he shut off the engine, but before he can even unbuckle his seatbelt, I held his hands because I couldn&rsq
