Chapter 59: I’ll Hold You Down

Almost like I had predicted, he was in our room in less than two minutes. I wondered what he wanted to talk to me about. I’d wanted to tell him to fudge himself after he said that he wanted to talk to me, but I held myself back. Seeing him talk to Lola in the manner that he did just a few minutes ago, made me almost have a change of mind and think that he cares about me, but all that might also be a show. So, trusting what I saw was out of the equation.

When the door swung open slowly and Xavier emerged, I turned to face him, leaning by the window. His face was drawn and he looked tired. I mean, I should be the tired one. He has been the tormentor for a very long time, so why was he the one with the tired face?

“I don’t have all the time in the world, Xavier. What did you want to talk about?”
