ARIA'S POV
"Tomorrow night is going to be a full moon."
"You shouldn't talk with your mouth full, uncle." I said to Uncle Jeremiah, tossing him a towel. "And chew your food properly." I said, giving him a stern look.
"Why do you have to always act as my mother," he asked me when he had finished the food in his mouth. "When I'm the uncle here?" He asked me.
"Because of things like this uncle." I said, winking at him. Three of us burst out into laughter.
Every pack counted down to the next full moon and the next blood moon. The only difference was that the blood moon was held in more light and celebration than the full moon.
After lunch, the three of us go out to get some fresh air together.

Outside, the full moon was a beauty to behold. It shone so brightly that you could see each ot
ARIA'S POV"There no way that can be true." I said to Uncle Jeremiah bringing the kettle down from the stove."So what Aria?" He asked me. "Do you think that your parents' carriage had an accident?" He raised his brow at me."That's what I was told." I said."What you were told?" "I...mean...." I said to him stammering. "That's all that is known.""Come on Aria." He said rising to his feet. "There is evidence right in our faces.""No uncle!" I said making tea. "You are making all of this up.""Why would I make things up Aria. Your mother was my sister!""Exactly!" I said to him putting down the kettle in a way that I was almost hurt by it's hot contents. "That's why you are prejudiced." I took a rag to clean the contents of the kettle that had spilled on the table."I thought that just yesterday you thought the same as me." He said looking disappointed."I...maybe.. still think the same thing you think but I want us to be practical." I said taking the tea I had made to him."What kin
ARIA'S POV"We are going to miss you Aria." Aunty Lilian said as Anthony and I prepared to mount the carriage that was to take us back to the lycan pack."Yes. We will." My uncle said hugging me. "Take care of her." He said to Anthony shaking his hand."I'm not a baby." I muttered to my uncle. "Yes you are." He said pinching my cheeks. "My sweet little baby Aria. Ah, it's just like yesterday you were a little baby and now you're all grown up. I'm so proud, you've come so long...." He said then zoned into memory lane mode."No!" I screamed as a warning for him not to go down memory lane."Fine fine." He raised his hands in defeat. "I won't." Then he turned once more to Anthony. "It was an honour to have you here alpha Anthony." He said. "Now I can boast that I have been privileged enough to be visited by the great alpha of the lycan pack." He laughed."It was also great staying here." Anthony said. "Thank you. And you can boast all you like. Who am I to say no?" He said causing the tw
CORDELIA'S POV"There is nothing to be restless about.""I told you! Didn't I?!" I yelled at Dane, anger and frustration written all over me. "I told you that Anthony wouldn't let that bitch that was here go! I told you that he would come looking for her!" I was pacing around his study, anger fuming through my bones. "You told me that he wouldn't find her here, that he couldn't!""That's why you are bothered." Dane said not feeling the least bit of what I was feeling. Instead, he wore that stupid face of fake calmness he always had. "I see.""What is wrong with you!?" I screamed, clawing at his study table, tearing books while causing some to fall off the table. "Don't you get my point?" I asked, strolling to where he sat. "She was rescued by the one person you told me would not come looking for her. And now, she's out there, safe and sound, while we are here doing what?!""Planning a next step." He said, putting his leg on the table I had clawed at."A next step?" I couldn't believe w
ARIA'S POVThe woman that sat with Anthony and I in the room, was nothing like Cordelia. She was indeed a tall woman, exuding power, yet she had a kind face."How have you been, Anthony?" She asked when we sat down. "We thank the goddess." He said smiling at her."You need my services again for your dear lady friend." She said looking at me.Me? Lady friend? What was I missing? I looked at Anthony, hoping for an explanation."When Dane captured you, she sent one of her own to infiltrate the pack. Reuben." Anthony explained to me.Reuben! The nice guard that I was suspicious of. He was sent by her, and that was how Anthony found me. Wow!"And I am glad to see that you are okay and in one piece." She said to me smiling. "Dane is such an amoral man, and I wouldn't want anyone I be with him." She concluded shaking her head."Thank you for helping me out." I said to her."How could I not help, when it was Anthony who had asked?"Anthony again! She kept calling Anthony by his name, without
ARIA'S POV"Long time no see, damsel." Cordelia said to me, stopping just a few inches ahead. All the fear that I had felt before, when Claire came running to me, dissipated. Only two things were certain about Cordelia's appearance here at the Lycan Pack. One, she had been tracking me to know when Anthony and Elijah were absent for her to invade the pack, and two, she was here for me."Indeed, it sure has been a long time." I responded to her 'heartfelt' greeting. "How have you been?" I asked her, placing Claire down and resting her unconscious body on the wall.Cordelia scoffed at my question. "How have I been?""I thought we were exchanging pleasantries?" I asked, standing straight up after I had placed Claire against the wall. "Are we not?" I asked Cordelia."What does it look like here?" She inquired, staring at me with murderous eyes."It looks like you are not doing fine." I said maintaining my ground. She angrily charged at me with her claws, which I dodged without breaking a s
ANTHONY'S POVElijah rode the carriage with me seating in the back seat to the Alphas meeting. As usual, it was going to be filled with great Alphas of valour which I was one of ad by now, my mind was to be put in order for the meeting but Aria was on my mind. This was the true definition of someone being in your mind. I couldn't get her off my mind. No matter what, I was going to make sure I found out all about her parents mysterious death."Aria on your mind?" Elijah asked cutting me from my thoughts."Of course." I sighed not even hearing or understanding what he said. It was after I had responded, that I understood the question he had asked. He looked goofily at me smiling the same way. He was not only my beta, he was my best friend and one that I could trust my life with.I gave him a warning look."What's that for?" He asked, raising his brow."Eyes on the road Elijah." I replied, relaxing in the carriage."Don't worry." He said, turning his eyes to the road. "When it comes to w
86 head high, my love.ANTHONY'S POVI could have just snapped his neck the instant he had told me everything! Why did I hesitate? Why?I was fuming when I came out of the meeting room. "Let's go!" I said to Elijah when we were finally outside.Aria, Aria... I couldn't imagine the look on her face when she hears what I have to tell her. But first, I needed to calm myself down so that I could also calm her down when she receives the news. The ride back to my pack seemed like an eternity. Time went by so slow while my thoughts went here and there. When we got to Nightfang, I was relieved that the journey had come to an end.The pack seemed different compared to when I had left this morning. The greetings from the servants, maids, guards as well as other pack members seemed to have an undertone in them.Elijah and I both looked at each other sensing the difference in the pack."Do you feel what I'm feeling?" Elijah whispered to me."I have to find out." I said to Elijah walking up to on
Aria's POV:"I, Logan Pierce, Alpha of the Nightfang Pack, reject you, Aria Wilson, as my fated mate."The pain that came from hearing those words felt like a hot knife going straight through my throat. The pain of rejection shot through my body, making me wince, and hot tears rushed to my eyes."Logan..." I whispered, staring at my mate, my love. In his place was a cold-hearted man I didn't recognize. "What is all this about?"What had I done to deserve a rejection out of nowhere? I tried to think hard, trying to understand what exactly it was. Nothing came to my mind.Logan, my husband of three years, was glaring at me with hatred I hadn't ever seen in him before. "You're a traitor. And you will be punished as such." He said this, his eyes flashing in anger. He motioned for the guards on standby. "No, no, wait! Please wait!" I screamed. The guards advanced on me. I ran up to Logan, reaching out to grab his hand, but he moved out of the way. I fell to the ground, my knee hitting the
