Nine

That first month of college I didn't do anything except go to class, meals and then back to the room. I wasn't trying to be a hermit; there was just so much going on with my classes that I didn't have any free time for anything extra.

That didn't stop my roommate Brandy from asking every weekend if I wanted to go out with her and her friends. "It's been a month Al, you need to get out of this room," she tells me as she puts on a very short black dress with nothing under it.

I'd learned very quickly that Brandy was confident with her body and wasn't shy in showing it off. "I have projects due," I remind her, gesturing to my open books. "And so do you, we have three of the same classes."

She waves me off, "look girl, college is about the experiences not just classes. You don't want to look back in twenty years and regret not going out and living your life. Plus you might get laid and judging by some of the sounds you make in your sleep, you need it."
