Mama always reminded me of how strong my breed was.

Dark, gloomy and catastrophic.

I leaned against the railing of the staircase with my hand on my racing chest.

Intense emotions flooded within me.

Julie was supposed to stay in back and only emerge out whenever I called her but looking at the turnout events, she had left her spot and had given me the biggest shock ever.

Not one but two.

Firstly, she kicked herself out when I had her locked in and secondly she said I had mates---not just a mate.

I released a deep breath and took the last step before entering the hallway.

She had me in a confused state. This whole time, she never showed herself even when I tried to call her for help. She knew my wolf was dead and I couldn't possibly protect myself against any enemy in the wild forest but still she'd just left me on my own.

'Hey I can hear your thoughts, you know.'

Leave me alone, Julie.

I felt her shrug and she replied, 'I could never, even if I wanted to. Better believe it.'
