Chapter 3: Alphas Welcome Party.

Canna P.O.V.

As I woke up to the sound of thunder growling over the city, I quickly put on my coat and made my way downstairs to the kitchen, craving a hot cup of coffee to start my day. As I entered the kitchen, I saw my mother already busy brewing a fresh pot of coffee. The aroma of the coffee beans filled the kitchen, making my mouth water. I greeted my mother with a cheerful "Morning Mom," to which she replied with a warm smile and a "Morning Canna." She knew that coffee was always at the top of my to-do list every morning. My mother carefully took out a clean cup from the cabinet in front of her, knowing that I preferred my coffee in a particular mug. She then poured the hot coffee into the cup, and I could see the steam rising from the cup, making it look even more inviting. I took a sip of the coffee, and it was just as perfect as I had anticipated. The thunder may still be growling outside, but the warmth of the coffee and the comfort of my mother's presence made me feel at ease.

The rest of the house was still enveloped in a deep slumber when my mother reminded me of the welcome party for my dad that will be taking place later the day - my father's welcome back party, which was being held at the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack's hotel. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks, and I felt a pang of guilt for having forgotten about such a significant occasion. I covered my eyes with my hands, knowing that I had a tendency to forget things easily. My mother continued with her chores, and I stood there for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts and come up with a plan for the day ahead. The party was going to be a grand affair, and I knew that I had to look my best and be on my A-game. With that in mind, I set off to start my day, determined to make it a success.

We quickly got ready and headed out to the mall in search of the perfect outfits to wear. As we stepped out of the house, the cool air hit us and we could see that it was still raining outside. The sound of the raindrops hitting the pavement and the trees filled the air, creating a soothing ambiance. The scent of the wet forest was also noticeable, and it was refreshing to take in the natural aroma. Despite the rain, we were determined to find the perfect outfits and make the most of our time at the mall. We were eager to see what the stores had to offer and were excited to finally pick out something special for the welcome party.

As we arrived at the mall, the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, immediately catching our attention. We noticed a coffee shop located right next to the entrance and decided to check it out. As we walked into the coffee shop, we saw a group of boys sitting at a table near the entrance. My eyes immediately locked onto the hunk that I had seen at my locker at school, who was sitting at the furthest end of the table. He gave us a warm smile as we walked past, and I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest. My sister nudged me with her elbow and whispered, "There he is." I nodded in agreement and replied, "That's the same one who surprised me with his respectfulness when he leaned against my locker." We made our way over to the counter to order our drinks, stealing glances at the group of boys every now and then.

After finishing our coffee, my sister and I left the cozy coffee shop and made our way toward the mall. Before leaving, we made sure to give the barista a friendly smile to show our appreciation for the delicious coffee. As soon as we entered the mall, we were greeted by the hustle and bustle of shoppers and the sound of upbeat music playing in the background. We were on a mission to find the perfect dresses for an upcoming event, so we wasted no time and began our search.

After browsing through several stores, we finally found the dresses we had been searching for. We tried them on and admired ourselves in the mirror, feeling confident and excited about the event. As we were leaving the fitting room, I suddenly realized that I had left my coat behind. Panic set in as I frantically searched through my shopping bags, but it was nowhere to be found. My sister and I quickly retraced our steps, going back to all the stores we had visited in hopes of finding my coat. We asked the sales associates if they had seen it, but unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found.

As my sister and I were about to leave the mall, I couldn't help but notice a group of boys standing at the exit, laughing and joking around. The hunk from the coffee shop stepped out of the group of boys and approached us with his hands behind his back. My sister and I exchanged a curious look, wondering what he was up to. As he got closer, I could feel my heart racing with anticipation. What was he going to say or do?

"I believe you forgot something in the coffee shop," he said to us, his voice smooth and confident. My sister and I looked at each other, puzzled. What could we have possibly forgotten? The hunk's eyes twinkled with amusement as he brought his arm around from behind his back to reveal my coat.

I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement as I watched the hunk's every move. His confident demeanor and charming smile made my heart race with anticipation. Who was this guy, and what was his story?

As the hunk held up my coat, I quickly reached out to grab it from him. But he pulled it away, teasing me with a sly grin on his face. "No, no, no," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "That's my coat."

I felt my irritation rising. Was he really going to stand there and play games with us? "What are you talking about?" I asked, my voice sharp with frustration. "That coat belongs to me. Give it back."

The hunk just laughed, clearly enjoying the game he was playing. "You can have it back," he said, holding out the coat toward me. "But first, you have to tell me your name. I already know your sister's name, so it's only fair."

I felt a jolt of surprise at his words. Despite my annoyance, I took a deep breath, trying to keep my cool as I replied, "Fine. My name is Canna."

As I told the hunk my name, I could feel my sister's eyes on me, watching me with a mix of curiosity and embarrassment. She had always been shy around guys, and I could tell that this situation was making her feel uncomfortable. But I was determined to play it cool, even if I was feeling a bit flustered.

I just stared at the hunk in the eyes. He just smiled, looking pleased with himself. "Well, Canna, here's your coat," he said, holding it out toward me. I quickly grabbed it from him, feeling a sense of relief wash over me, as my sister and I continued walking towards the exit of the mall.
