Her father and the doctor stood facing each other, with a table between them. Uther towered above him, sizing him up like they were about to exchange blows. Her father's expression was tense and his eyes were intently fixed on the doctor's.

"Doctor, we are here to confirm if my daughter, Penelope, is indeed pregnant."

The doctor's face lit up when her father said the word, only if he knew the circumstances surrounding this.

The doctor set out to work immediately, he started the examination by first asking Penelope to lie down on the examination table. He then gently placed a hand on her stomach and began to feel for any signs of a baby growing inside her.

He used a stethoscope to listen to her stomach and heart, searching for any sounds that could indicate the presence of a fetus. He also performed a pelvic examination, checking for any changes in her cervix or uterus that would confirm the pregnancy.
