A STING.

Penelope stood her ground, tears streaming down her face as her father towered over her, anger etched on his face. "I won't do it," she said firmly, despite her fear.

Uther's eyes flashed with fury. "You will do as I say, Penelope. You are a woman, you have no say in this matter," he growls, his voice low and menacing.

"You will abort this child, or you will be disowned. Do you understand me? You will no longer be my daughter, you will no longer have my name or my support." Uther's words were like a physical blow, and Penelope flinched at the impact.

"You have twelve hours to change your mind, or the consequences will be dire. And as for you, Yvonne," he turned to Penelope's mother, "You had better talk some sense into your daughter, or you will face the consequences too."

With that, Uther stormed out of the infirmary, leaving Penelope and Yvonne in stunned silence. Penelope was shaking, her thoughts a jumbled mess. How could her father be so cruel, so heartless?
