Marcellus’s POV

As our mate gradually wakes up and elegantly stretches, her delicate motion stirred me from my sleep. I couldn't resist the surge of affection that enveloped me as she nestled back down, her body connecting with ours. In that precious instant, as we lay here united, even in our wolf state, a profound sense of serenity washed over us. The fact that our mate didn't respond with fear or panic was an extraordinary accomplishment, a testament to the trust and bond we had built.

As I shifted back into my human form and smiled while I rubbed my nose against her face. “Good morning,” I whispered. As she said, it back, with a smile. I couldn’t help but stay here for a bit longer before we had to get up and call a pack meeting before my trip to town. Nothing like feeling you mate up against me all relaxed instead of terrified.
