The Forsaken Luna's Burning Love
The Forsaken Luna's Burning Love

1. Another Round

Sashal watched her figure from the reflection in the window. Something was missing from her, she thought.

"Ah..."

She put a crown on her head.

Now, It's just like her. The crown suits her.

Her gaze dropped. She caress her protruding belly while muttering something through her clenched jaws.

Sashal's green eyes were filled with remorse. The sun shone through the window and unto her beautiful face, which looked like a doll. But Sashal could not feel the warmth of the light. So were the fancy dress and the crown of a noble queen, which seemed to be all meaningless.

'Shan, the full moon is almost here.' She spoke to her wolf, who decided not to respond.

Sashal grinned wryly. “Are you sulking now? Sorry because you can't taste the full moon all this time.”

From within her, a surging emotion suffocated her.

-“FIGHT! What are you doing just by standing still like this?! F#ck them porky!”-

Sashal's wolf, Shan, had her refreshing curse. Sashal often wonders if maybe Shan is a dark manifestation of her personality.

"I'm sorry. I'm so... exhausted now. Now, sleep, Shan."

-“Wai-wait! Oh, wait! This girl! Heeeey!”-

The sound of someone running was getting closer. The bedroom door opened with a bang. Bella, her loyal maid, came with a pale face.

“Your majesty! Please, please run away now. Those crazy bastards are here! Please, at least run away for your child's life!”

“Hmm, that's a waste of effort. I've tried that already before, Bels.”

"Yes?"

“GET HER DOWN!” A swarm of troops had surrounded her.

“NO! You can't do this to Her Majesty! How dare you- Argh!”

Sashal frowned as she watched Bella being caught before she could shift with her wolf. She had seen this scene multiple times but still broke her heart.

The armed forces immediately cornered her. Some of them have even transformed into wolves, hissing at her.

If it had been a year ago, such an action would have been impossible. No one was allowed to transform in front of her without any orders from her.

“Get her now!” The troop leader screamed as if he was catching a rebellious criminal, even though Sashal didn't do anything.

Yes, even though she didn't do anything and just stood there, her aura alone was enough to make the troops shudder.

They restrained her body by chaining her hands tightly while placing a repressant necklace around her neck. With that, Shan, her wolf, was no longer heard of.

Sashal laughed dryly. She turned her head, facing the window again, looking down at someone outside her window.

Her husband's cold face filled her gaze. Until she arrived at the execution stage, only her husband's face was recorded clearly in her eyes.

People threw pebbles and manure at her. Her beautiful face was now covered with blood and dirt. Sashal's black hair once gleamed as beautiful as night, matted and dirty like rat hair in a gutter. Her tongue was burned, then sprinkled with salt afterward several times.

The proper punishment for a woman with a poisonous tongue, they said.

The baby in her womb is also the target of people's anger. There was nothing she could do.

Sashal raised her head. Watching the rows of other nobles on the stage sitting and watching her torture, it was as if she was an entertaining spectacle. Her husband, the mate of her life, was also there. He was the main culprit who put her there.

Shame and contempt engulfed her whole being, but Sashal could only rebel against him with her silence.

A woman with long, wavy black hair, skin as white as snow, and eyes of light brown that were almost the color of gold appeared by her husband's side. The two hold hands.

'Ah, again? I was pregnant with his child, but my mate gazed intently at my best friend. When I saw the blaze that lit up in those cold eyes, I was assaulted by déjà vu.'

Luelle, the woman, was crying in her husband's arms.

'My husband had been in love with my best friend even in our past lives, enough to deny our child's existence. There was nothing I could do but watch.'

'And by cruel fate, I was someone who kept returning to that exact moment.'

Sashal had been through this moment several times in her previous life. Even after changing the recurring parts of her life in order to escape this moment, she still returned to helplessness.

Sashal tried to remain composed when the judge read out her crimes. Some were her deeds, but some were slander or deeds she had done in her past life, not this time.

For example, the crime of attempted murder of Luelle Lenbergh.

But isn't the reason for doing that justified? What wife doesn't get mad flipped when a lowly woman seduces her husband? While she struggles to escape from her captor's prison, at that?

Sashal let out a rough breath. 'I didn't do that this time, but they still put it in the scales of my crimes. What a joke, hmm?'

“Oh, our kindhearted Lady Luelle. What sin did she commit to have experienced the cruelty of that crazy woman?”

“That's right, our Lady Luelle sure is unfortunate.”

“But after this, there is only a flower path for our Lady Luelle.”

"Right!"

“Why did they take so long to sentence that woman to death?! Tch.”

Of course, the people she had always protected were also defending Luelle.

She once dreamed of a paradise where she would live happily ever after with her loved one. But now she realized things were different.

“With this, the former queen wolf Jochevelle X of the Southern Olf Kingdom, Sashal Shalomett, is sentenced to death for all her heinous deeds!”

Everyone roared in excitement.

Sashal lowered her gaze as the executioners dragged her body roughly.

'Baby, Mommy is sorry again. You don't get to breathe the air of this world again. But isn't that a blessing?'

“STOP IT, YOU FOOL! STOP IT! NO! GRRAAWWLLL!” A man roars madly, then shifts his form to his wolf.

His silver fur is drenched in blood almost instantly when he tries to destroy the defenses of the executioners surrounding Sashal.

'Who is that silver madman? At least in this life, someone is trying to stop my execution. But still, you don't have to, though.'

PTAS.

Sashal felt the sword penetrate her neck. The intense pain was only brief, and her consciousness gradually blurred. All she hoped was that this death would be her ticket out.

'I will not exhale another breath in this damned place again!'

This life also ended as it had before, but.
