20: Circle

The door slammed shut at Lyon’s exit, and all my defences shot up. I didn’t want to be left alone with him or anyone but him, but Lyon didn’t know about what happened between us, so he didn’t know any better.

We stayed silent for a long while, but the silence, although appreciated, wore me out. I was out of options to draw the silence out, so I asked.

“Are you also going to yell and scold me?” I crossed my arms across my chest but gave him no acknowledgement as my eyes still looked away.

“God, no.”

“Good then. I will be in my room,” I said in a nonchalant tone, and my hands dropped to my side. I walked to the door and turned the doorknob, but stopped in my tracks when he spoke.

“We are not done yet!” He slammed. His voice had risen to a pitch it had never reached all the times he had spoken to me in the past, and it shook me up.

I guess today is the day I piss everyone off.

“What else is there to say?” I turned to him with a raised brow. “Say it and be done with it. I have better thing
