"What do you want?" Mira gave him a sweet smile. If Azarias was here, he would have noticed that Mira was inwardly irritated and furious right now. Her eyes shone with a cold light that barely noticeable for those who were not discerning enough.
"You know the answer," Jason said, his tone no longer cold. Rather, it was mild with a hint of impatience. Despite that, a trace of gentleness somehow also appeared in his eyes.
"Why would I have time to bother about what you want?" Mira scoffed. She wasn't in a good mood today. Azarias had unexpectedly had a sleepover at her house last night.
Their relationship had deteriorated to the point of awkwardness in doing certain things. Mira had no intention of mending this as it was her initial plan anyway. However, she also couldn't forget how Azarias had been so kind and considerate of her this whole time.
