Ellen opened her eyes again for the umpteenth time in the day. She has been in the hospital for a few days and has only seen Nicholas once. She is sad and annoyed that she can't leave even if she wants to because Nicholas strictly instructed the hospital not to let her out. Nicholas was said to be on an emergency trip for the past few days which is why he could not come to the hospital. She thinks Nicholas is probably at home with Rose and lying about his trip.

While she was still thinking about this, James walked in with some food. She scoffed and looked away. When the door opened, she has gotten to excited thinking it was Nicholas. They say when you think of someone too much, they are the next person you would see walking through the door. All that seems to be a lie.
