The weekend passed by quickly, and it was now Monday, which in Leigh’s parlance meant it was English time when she and Regina shared classes.
She dreaded attending the class. In truth, she dreaded coming back to school, but she trusted Rocky. He told her that he would fix the mess he created.
She got out of Kade’s car, her head turning, scanning the crowd. It would have been better if Rocky was the one who sent her to the University, but he had been MIA since their make-up lunch.
She did not know where he went and only left her in the care of a live-in caretaker.

It was still dark when Rocky woke up from his sleep. This is the first time he felt content and at peace since they moved to Bay Bridge. He missed the feeling.
