Sam was worried.

She kept pacing the hallway, hoping the door to Leigh’s room would open anytime soon, but no such luck. It remained closed while she and Kade waited outside.

“What is taking them so long?” She could not help but complain to her companion.

Kade chuckled, not the least bit concerned.

“Don’t ask.” He told her when his mirth subsided.

Instead of assuring her, Kade's words had the opposite effect. Seeing, she won't get any help from her companion, Sam pressed her ears to the door, hoping to hear any sound, but she heard nothing.

At first, there was shouting. It sounded like Rocky and Leigh were arguing, but now, there was silence, and Sam was becoming worried.

She blamed herself. "I shouldn't have called Rocky," she lamented, but a quick look to her side told her she had spoken aloud.

"Why do you have Rocky's number?" A doubtful look replaced Kade's previously indulgent look, his tone becoming suspicious.
