“Come, someone wants to see you.” Samuel dragged her hand.

“Who wants to see me?” She asked but he dragged her up the stairs. He didn't give her any room for argument and just dragged her up to his room. When the door opened, Lily saw her mother on Samuel’s bed. She was surprised to see her wrapped around the bed sheet.

“She is the one that's sick, not me,” Samuel said.

Lily looked away.

“It is not my business.” she frowned.

“Her husband should take her to the hospital, this is not my business.” She turned to leave but Caleb walked in just in time. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to her mother.

“Lily...” Monica called weakly. She wanted to sit up but her body ached hence she couldn't do it. Lily glanced at her hoping that she wouldn't fall off the bed.

“You should stay with your mom,” Caleb whispered in her ears making goosebumps grow on her skin.

“Lily, don't leave. Mom needs you to heal her,” Samuel said, pushing her closer to the bed.
