Tori POV After the meeting was over, I apologized to Dr. MacDonald for my behavior, but there was something about Alpha Black that I wasn’t comfortable with. Without going into too much detail about my abilities, I explained I saw something in the healing bond that Mystic was very wary of. He wanted to talk more about it, but I was not feeling too well diving through that man’s clouds. I also thought it would be best to discuss with my Alpha what I saw and felt. Being the Alpha of one of the most powerful and largest packs on this side of the country, the information might be of use. Eric and Tammy helped me to the car, and we drove back to the pack in silence. After what the doctor witnessed, he suggested I go home and rest. We pulled up the driveway to the packhouse and Eric parked the car. Shutting off the engine, all three of us just sat there quietly thinking about what had just happened. I was angrier about his treatment of Eric than anything.

Merrick POV It’s been a while now since Tori healed the warrior. After her amazing abilities brought him back, he was taken to the hospital. I watched as Victor practically dragged her back to my office. If I didn’t know he was scared at what he’d seen, I would have ripped his head off for treating her so harshly. Tori POV “Make me yours, mate!” He crushed his lips to mine, and we continued our sultry dance that only lovers do. With gentle hands that flowed down my sides and across my belly. Lifting one thigh, he lowered himself between my legs. One hand held his weight as the other continued to explore my body. I ran my hands down his perfectly toned chest and wrapped them around his waist, gripping the muscles of his firm ass. I heard him growl low in his chest and began nipping at my neck, biting a trail down to my shoulder. With a sharp intake of breath, I wrapped my other leg around his waist, and I could feel his excitement on my center. “Tori… tell me your mine!” Victor demanded in a stern but pleading tone although his gaze was soft as a caress. Tori POV I stood over my father with my hands squeezing his as tight as I could. My mind was searching his for the healing tether. Mystic came forward and used her abilities to tie into Apache.
