Ronin POVAfter a restless night’s sleep in unknown territory, I woke before the birds and lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Victor POVI knelt on the floor next to the couch and rubbed Tori’s back as she sobbed heavily into her father’s shoulder. Teaghan sat beside her and listened intently as she stroked her hair gently. Victor POVI led Tori to meet our guests from the office and go to the dining room. I held the door for her, and we stepped in to see they were waiting for us.We all sat around the table and began dishing food onto our plates. Tori POVI was so happy I was practically bouncing out of the packhouse. Hearing that my dad would announce to the pack that I was his daughter was absolutely fantastic! Ronin I heard the alarm clock blaring as I rolled over and slapped it off. Before opening my eyes, I took a deep breath and realized there was someone with me in bed. I threw off my covers and sat up rubbing my face. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw a lump in the covers that was last night's conquest. I swipe my key card and push open the door to my hotel room. Throwing the card on the bed I walk over to the mini fridge and grab myself a bottle of water and chug it down. After tossing it in the garbage can, I walk over to the bed and plop myself down, sighing as I am truly exhausted. Lying back on the bed, I close my eyes and rub my hands down my face.
