I pulled up to the gates and rolled down my window. “Beta Victor” The guard greets and nods to his partner to open the large, iron gates. His mind reeling with what he must tell the Alpha and how he’ll react to it. Of course, he doesn’t want Tori to go there either, but apparently, this is her choice, and no one is going to change her mind. He can’t stop her but maybe there is a way he can keep an eye on her. The grinding of the gears stops pulling him out of his thoughts and he drives his truck through the gate towards the main packhouse parking area. It’s a dominating structure as it comes into view. “I will speak with the Alpha and let you know.” “Thank you, Eric” “I’ll call you later sweety. Bye!” I waved goodbye as they drove away. Closing the front door and locking it, I dropped my bag and keys off on the counter and sat down on the couch. Lunch was nice. Tori POV I hung up with Victor and paced around my living room with my stomach full of butterflies. I was scared, nervous, and excited. Whether because I’m going to see him again, or because I’m going to his pack to meet his Alpha. Oh my God, I’m going to meet the Alpha! Holy shit, this is huge! I need to go get ready. I need to look my best and remember my manners. “Wow, okay, calm down Tori. First, go shower and pick out something nice and respectful to wear. He’s just an Alpha. Like any other human being. Victor POV I stepped out of my truck and slowly walked up to the front door. Taking a deep breath, I pushed the doorbell and waited. I could hear her footsteps coming towards me. As the door opened, I could smell her sweet scent of lavender and birch. It swirled around my head giving me an almost euphoric feeling. Tori was dressed in a light yellow dress with black buttons, she looked beautiful. Wearing a shy smile, she greeted me. “Hello Beta Victor” I winced internally, hating that she uses my title even though I’ve asked her to call me by my name. Tori POV I could feel myself getting more anxious and restless the closer we got to the territory. Victor tried to keep me engaged in conversation to ease my mind and it helped somewhat, but the nerves were still running wild. He asked me to tell him about myself. I talked about my love for gardening, cooking, music and theater and that I hold a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He seemed quite interested in that fact and said he would have to spar with me some time. I briefly talked about my mother and how she had passed from breast cancer two years ago and that my stepfather and Tammy were the only family I had left. Tori POV I awake slowly to find myself lying in the most comfortable bed I’ve ever been in…. again. The intense sweet smell of sandalwood and mahogany envelopes me as I inhale the wonderful scent. I must be in Victor’s room. As much as I would love to stay here all day, I don’t think it appropriate for me to linger too long. I open my eyes and glance around the room. Tori POV I sat there nervously, fidgeting with my fingers. My boots suddenly became the most interesting thing in the room. I kept tugging on the hem of my shirt and smoothing my hair. I could feel my face flush, my palms sweating and my mouth was dry. Although he’s my father and has shown no negative or angry attitude towards me, his presence does command attention in any room he occupies. I was very nervous about the conversation about to happen.
