CHAPTER 46

Maya opened her eyes when she felt someone caressing her forehead lightly. She turned to one side and saw to her surprise Jordan, looking down at her with utmost concern. He looked pale and shaken as a look of relief filled his face when their eyes met.

“T-Thank God you’re awake, Maya,” he whispered meaningfully. Unable to stopped himself, he bent down and kissed her forehead before touching it with his own. “I thought I’m going to lose you again. God, I was shaken when I was told of the accident.”

“Am I in the hospital?” She asked weakly. She looked around the room. “W-Where’s Grayson?”

Without asking for assistance, Maya struggled to sit up and Jordan immediately helped when he saw what she is doing. She raised her arms and was shocked to see an IV on her right hand, her left hand currently has been placed in a cast and her head was wrapped in a tight bandage.

She looked at Jordan, who did not move from her side.

“W-Where’s Grayson?” She asked again intently. “Is he okay?”
