Guardian Shelliot

The waters was too quiet. 

The closer I swam towards the Kingdom, the more anxiety consumed me. On any normal day, there would be trafficking of fishes and maybe a few sharks here and there. Right now there were no fishes, big or small, sharks or even stingrays. Nothing. 

My mind raced with dark thoughts. The threat had reached our Kingdom. Everyone was killed. Instead of thinking about the King and the Queen, the first person who came to mind was Aquant. After which my sister, Octoria followed down the line of people I should be concerned for. 

He would tease me about it if he found out what was in my brain at this moment. Which he wouldn’t. Not ever. It was my secret. Along with the long list of secrets, I kept pertaining to that merman. 

I crossed the threshold into the territory of our Kingdom. Two guards swam out of nowhere with spears. My tail froze and I came to a halt in front of the two mermen.
