Guardian Shelliot

We followed the guard up to the house. Guardian Torus's hopping and my wobbling strides took us more than fifteen minutes to accomplish this. 

The arrogant man paused in the hallway of the west wing. “I’m going to get cleaned up.” 

Two lines pinched between the guard’s thick brows. “What should I relay to the informant?” 

Guardian Torus turned his back to the young man. “Tell him I'll get to him when I get to him.”

The guard did not approve of his leader's comment but showed no interest in bringing his thoughts to light. “Yes, Sir.” 

The poor man pivoted on his heels and left us. 

I could pity him. Guardian Torus was the devil. The young man had to work for him. I could only see how much verbal abuse he has gotten since he started working for this snake. It was a wonder all these merfolks were not bitter.
