Her mother was right.

Boys were hard to deal with when jealous because, for the very first time since they met, Heidi witnessed Nikolai's true anger.

Due to the trio being busy with school and the boy-duo always busy with afterschool activities such as their training, the children didn't see one another for days, weeks even.

So when they met at the park, the sweet little girl had offered him a whole plate of cooked crabs made by her adopted grandmother, Maame Efua and a new action figured that she had begged her father to buy for her.

Heidi presented these to the boy who just fumed. "Are you trying to bribe me? It's against pack law to bribe a perso–"

"Shut up, they're gifts, not bribes." Heidi retorted to which Nikolai rolled his eyes not playfully this time.

"Why are you angry?" She asked him and he simply replied,

"You."

"Me how? I didn't even do anything!"

"Yes, you did. You smell like another wolf and I don't like it."
