Chapter 55: A Mate

After the very eventful day, I am so happy to see Cassie exploring the house and remembering experiences once lived here. I watch her get lost in thought and I walk to her with a smile. I was like her too when I came back for the first time.

"Do you remember the sleepovers we had in the living room?"

Her eyes spark and she nods. "Oh, I remember it all."

The way her fingers run through the walls and the furniture, it is almost like she is getting familiar with everything again, and I think she still can't believe she is back.

Ro walks back to us and wraps his arms around me, Cassie looks at us and grins. "You know, you both were always very close. I am not surprised you were mates from the start."

"Perhaps we were not feeling it as strongly as we feel it now, but I always knew she had to be a part of my life." He then kisses the top of my head and I blush at his words.

"You two are adorable," her smile matches her words.

I am so happy we managed to get her back into our lives,
