CHAPTER 39 - The Castle and The Hybrid King

“What castle?” she asked almost shouting, but the door shut without her hearing an answer from the maid.

Composing herself not to panic, she took a deep breath and caught a glimpse of the food on the side table. Feeling her hunger has been consuming her already, she took hold of the glass of milk and sipped almost half of it. Thereafter, she devoured the cookies and then the sliced apple and finished off in one gulp, the remaining milk in the glass.

Satisfied with what she had eaten that solved her hunger, she then stood up and tried to open the window. It was a sliding glass window.

With shock covering all over her face, Gerthel could not believe what her eyes has just seen. Indeed she is in a castle, in a castle on top of a mountain, surrounded by clouds!
