The Unsolved Mystery

“Luna…” Kaden scratched his head, contemplating whether or not to ask the question in his mind. “Ermm… How exactly did Gen get back home?” Kaden finally found the courage to ask as he moved to stand beside Eva, who stood in front of a large painting hanging on the broad wall before them.

The room was poorly lit, making the painting blurred due to the shadow cast over it. But whatever was on the painting… it seemed essential to Eva as she stood ever so still in front of it, staring like it had some connection to her past. As if she was trying to decipher a hidden message. The longer she stared, the more her mind raced with memories and emotions that seemed to be triggered by the artwork.

About three feet from them was Karla.

Eva sighed, not missing the confusion in Kaden’s tone. “Honestly, I am also clueless about this matter. I have been trying to wrap my head around the fact that just as she showed up unconscious in her room, Monica lays dead in front of my car a few minutes later
